Mindfulness & Meaning:
Using Acceptance and Commitment Therapy

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy - ACT is an evidence based approach to mental health counseling using mindfulness and values along with traditional cognitive and behavioral interventions.  ACT is a flexible approach with elements that can be used in an eclectic practice.

ACT helps clinicians and their clients:

•    Get un-stuck by responding more flexibly to thoughts and feelings

•    Do what really matters by identifying values

•    Learn mindfulness with or without formal mediation exercises.

•    Bring mindfulness and values into daily life.

This training will focus on introducing the basics of ACT in a practical and experiential way.  No experience with ACT or Mindfulness is required.
